Ankle braces can be used both as a preventive measure and on an injury to the ankle.
Injuries helped by ankle braces are those in which body weight changes rapidly from one foot to the other, as in tennis or running. Ankles may twist resulting in sprains.
Many professional athletes who are prone to ankle sprains, use braces as protection against injury.
Sometimes these injuries do occur, and then these ankle braces are of great help for support as the ankle heals.

Cryo Therapy
Knee bracing delivers functional support for ligament instabilities.
These include ligament instability with osteoarthritis during low-to-high impact activities, as well as for sliding sports.
Supports
Back braces can limit stress on the back and encourage proper lifting techniques.
Many braces are Indicated for lumbar muscle weakness, lumbar strains or sprains, moderate low back pain or
prevention of back strain.
Tennis Elbow Supports
Elbow injuries are the most common feature of both golf and tennis, with the tennis elbow support offering protection for both sports and helping to keep players active for longer. Whilst tennis elbow is a self-limiting it can take up to 2 years to fully heal with little that can be done medically, though in extreme cases surgery may be required. The best form of treatment is rest, though it is difficult for someone to give up a sport / activity they enjoy for such a long time, which is why many opt to wear elbow braces so that they can remain active throughout their recovery.
Shoulder Braces & Wraps
An injured shoulder's flexible ligaments can be painful and detrimental to performance. Shoulder stability can be increased with proper joint support.
The athlete who sustains a dislocation during a competitive season poses a unique clinical dilemma. In a review of 30 athletes who sustained an anterior dislocation during their sport season, showed that a regimen of early range of motion and a shoulder brace restricting abduction and external rotation allowed 26 athletes to return and complete the season.

The use of cold therapy in acute sports injuries, as well as in the rehabilitation of the injured athlete, has become a generally accepted treatment method... Most clinical studies report that the use of cryotherapy has a positive effect on pain reduction and on the recovery of various injuries.
